(May 24, 2006)

This August US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will host a complimentary, multi-day event to provide brokers, importers, and carriers with insights into the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) – its capabilities, and the many ways in which ACE can save you time and money, strengthening our borders, and promoting legitimate trade. The ACE Exchange Conference will be conducted in two separate sessions in Chicago, Illinois as follows:

The first segment of this conference will focus on issues important to importers and brokers (August 15th and 16th). The second half of the conference will cover topics of interest to the truck carrier community (August 16th and 17th).

Topics to be covered include:

CBP has invited two Deringer panelists, Jake Holzscheiter, Senior Vice President, and Amy Magnus, District Manager to discuss how to leverage the current and upcoming ACE technology. Deringer is an industry pioneer in regard to ACE development and has worked closely with CBP to effect its progression. We encourage importers and carriers to attend the conference and get involved in ACE.
