PHASE FOUR OF TRUCK TRADE ACT DELAYED UNTIL JUNE 15, 2006

US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has recently announced that it is delaying implementation of phase four enforcement of the Trade Act of 2002 - Advance Electronic Cargo Information requirements for trucks.

Due to unexpected programming difficulties that have not been resolved with the ACE e-Truck manifest, the CBP Office of Field Operations (OFO) is delaying the implementation of the Phase Four Enforcement policy until the completion of the following two priority issues:

As a result, the May 15th enforcement date for the Phase Four Enforcement Guidelines for the Truck Trade Act was postponed temporarily until June 15, 2006.
