An experienced transportation professional, Erica Hengemuhle has been a key management figure whose leadership has brought success to several of Deringer‘s customer service centers. With over 28 years of industry experience, Erica is Deringer’s District Manager overseeing operations in Vermont, Montana, and Washington. She serves on Deringer’s leadership team, providing insight and helping to guide the company’s strategic direction.
Erica began her career with Deringer in 1993. Shortly after joining the company, she participated in its intensive management training program for two years and concurrently obtained her US Customs Brokerage License in 1996. Erica has managed customer service centers in a number of locations throughout the United States. Management of these facilities included leading teams of up to 30 people and responsibility for the daily operations and profitability of all lines of business, including Customs brokerage, transportation, meat inspection, and warehousing and distribution.
Erica oversees some of Deringer’s critical accounts of large multinational importers. She has served as the project lead on important company initiatives such as invoice accuracy and document resources, client-facing IT tools such as eShipPartner® and EDI, and KPI development for clients. Erica is a key stakeholder in preparing for regulatory changes related to PGAs, and she previously served on the Board of Directors for I.E. Canada, whose mission is to support the Canadian trade community.
