Director of Distribution, LCB, CCS
Matt Parrott joined Deringer in 1993 and has managed operational growth in multiple lines of business. As the Director of Distribution, he is responsible for developing Deringer’s corporate warehousing and distribution (W&D) systems focusing on customer service, accuracy, efficiency, and profitability. In addition, he directly manages the Los Angeles, Atlanta, Buffalo, and Blaine W&D teams.
Matt has assisted with the design of Deringer’s distribution centers and upgrades, implemented automated processes, and led new safety initiatives. He has overseen the launch of a new warehouse management system and the addition of numerous warehouse facilities. Additionally, Matt serves on Deringer’s leadership team.
Matt also has extensive experience in international transportation and Customs brokerage. In his previous role as the Director of Transportation, Matt expanded Deringer’s freight forwarding services. His logistics experience includes being a District Manager for both Northern Border and air/vessel customer service centers, and he has managed various customer service centers during his tenure, including Assistant Branch Manager (Sweet Grass, Montana) and Branch Manager (Buffalo, New York, and Hartford, Connecticut).
Matt sits on the Senior Advisory Board of the Can-Am Border Trade Alliance and the North Country Chamber of Commerce. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Foundation of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY. He is a licensed US Customs Broker, a Certified Customs Specialist, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from LeMoyne College.
