Claudia Ashton
Marketing Manager
For over a decade, Claudia Ashton has played an instrumental role in helping guide the company’s corporate positioning, branding, and marketing strategies. As Manager of Marketing and Inside Sales she is a strong advocate of developing programs to keep internal and external constituents well informed of regulatory and environmental changes that impact international trade. Moreover, Ashton is accountable for ensuring that the Deringer brand consistently conveys exceptional customer service and a strong commitment to compliance.
Prior to joining Deringer in 1998, Ashton served as Marketing Associate for a communication consultant in Virginia where she managed public relations and marketing campaigns for a variety of stakeholders in the healthcare industry. Subsequent to graduating from the University of Michigan, Ashton began her five year tenure in retail management with one of the nation’s premier department store chains. After successfully completing the company’s Executive Training Program, she was promoted to areas of increasing responsibility within the chain.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan and a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from George Washington University, Washington, DC. In addition to participating in continuing education to keep abreast of industry changes, Ashton is an active member of the International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA) and serves as the Vermont State Chairperson on the Board of Directors for the Coalition of New England Companies for Trade (CONECT).
