John Hinkley

District Manager

With over 35 years of industry experience, John Hinkley is Deringer’s District Manager with oversight of strategic Air and Vessel operations.  Mr. Hinkley began his Deringer career as Branch Manager for the Boston customer service center about 20 years ago.  He has held positions of increasing responsibility and is seen as a resource in the arena of logistics, including Customs brokerage and transportation.

Mr. Hinkley is an active member of the Boston trade community.  He is a past President of the Boston Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association and served for many years as a member of their Board of Directors.  Currently, John is a member of and contributor to the New England Canada Business Council and the Foreign Commerce Club of Boston.  Over the past 15 years, John has been a frequent speaker at New Exporters to Border States (NEBS) presentations at the Canadian Consulate in Boston.   He has also on occasion participated in presentations at the Quebec Government Office in Boston.
