DERINGER DROPS ANCHOR IN SEATTLE
SAINT ALBANS, VT, JUNE 1, 2005 -- A.N. Deringer, Inc., the international logistics services provider announced today that it has acquired the Seattle, Washington freight forwarding and Customs brokerage operations of World Project Services International, Inc. Recognized for its dedication to superior customer service,
the acquisition of World Project Services International's Seattle operations is a perfect complement to Deringer's portfolio of business. World Project Services International, Inc. is headquartered in Houston, Texas."This acquisition significantly expands and improves our service offering to clients, who of late have been particularly frustrated by the heavy congestion plaguing some of the more popular West Coast ports, like Los Angeles and Long Beach. This strategic acquisition presents viable alternatives to these ports, and positions us to better serve the distribution needs of our clients in the northwest corridor of the US," commented Wayne Burl, CEO for Deringer.
"As Deringer employees, World Project Services International's Seattle staff will continue to provide the same high level of service and their customers will receive a virtually seamless transition to Deringer. We are delighted to have them join the Deringer family, " stated Jake Holzscheiter, Senior VP of Operations at Deringer. Effective June 1, 2005, Deringer's new facility will be operating as:
