Wayne Burl, VICE PRESIDENT Wayne Burl was the fourth President to lead A.N. Deringer, Inc. since its founding in 1919. He joined the company as a licensed Customs broker in 1964 and has served in a number of management and corporate positions, including his last position as President and CEO from 1999 to 2006 and his current position as Vice President.
Wayne has brought extensive leadership experience to the firm, having been directly involved with the company's early expansion. He established the firm's Boston operations center, expanded services to include air and ocean forwarding and launched new initiatives in the area of distribution center operations and strategies. He also directed internal project groups responsible for corporate strategic development, marketing initiatives, and new customer service programs.
Under Wayne's leadership, Deringer became one of the largest privately held logistics companies in North America. Among his accomplishments, Deringer established a solid west coast corporate presence, modernized the company's technical infrastructure, and propelled the growth of a new consulting division.
Today, the complex process of moving goods through the supply chain requires a keen attention to detail, exceptional timing, flexible control, relentless drive and follow-through. Although Wayne recently went into semi-retirement, Deringer continues to benefit from his comprehensive logistics experience and leadership through his role as board member and Vice President.
