Bob Gaydo began his logistics career over 30 years ago in the fields of accounting and operations.  Since joining Deringer in 1990, Gaydo has been deeply involved with Customs Compliance, initially implementing an internal compliance department.  He was instrumental in launching the Deringer Logistics Consulting Group to service the import and export community in such areas as Customs Focused Assessments, NAFTA compliance, various in-house and external training programs, security reviews, binding rulings, as well as such post entry areas as seizures, protests, and petitions.  Over the past 20 years, he has been deeply involved in airline/aircraft focused assessments, and has become very familiar with this industry and others including assisting with import issues such as valuation, classification, related party transactions, origin, civil aircraft claims, and US Goods returned items.

Gaydo has spoken at numerous Canadian and US importer and Exporter Association conferences and has published articles in various national magazines.  He is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Association of International Border Agencies (AIBA) where he sat on the US Customs committee, currently sits on the National Customs Broker and Freight Forwarder Association Education Committee, and is currently the Treasurer of the Detroit Customs Broker and Freight Forwarders Association.

Currently, Gaydo is a senior trade advisor for Deringer and is located in Romulus, Michigan, where he services the mid-west and western states and provinces in the areas of US Customs compliance, internal assessments, NAFTA, C-TPAT, post entry issues, training, international trade, etc.  Bob holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Vermont (UVM) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Albany, New York.  He is a Registered Public Accountant, a certified Lead Assessor, Certified Internal Auditor, holds a US Customs Brokers License, is a Certified Customs Specialist, as well as a Certified Export Specialist.
