eManifest Solutions
The Automated Manifest System is the process by which US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) captures manifest data electronically. By the end of 2007, carriers will be required to input and transmit more than 150 data elements to CBP for every truck shipment destined for the US, one hour in advance of arrival at the first US port of entry. Ultimately, eManifest will replace the Pre-Arrival Processing System (PAPS). Some of the required data elements include the following:

• Information on the crew, equipment, and conveyance
• Driver’s passport number, date of birth, license number, VIN numbers, license plate numbers, and make and model of the vehicle
• Consignee information (name, address, etc.)
• Shipper information (name, address, etc.)
• Commodity descriptions, piece counts, and weights

• Completion and transmission of eManifest requirements on carriers’ behalf
