US Harmonized Tariff Schedule
Goods bound for import or export must be classified using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) of the United States. To avoid fines and/or penalties, proper classification is required on shipping documentation to facilitate the smooth transit of goods into and out of the country.
U.S. Schedule B
The Schedule B is an HTS formatted classification schedule used by the US Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census, Foreign Trade Division to collect export trade statistics. The applicable Schedule B number must be used to classify goods on the Electronic Export Information (EEI) transmitted to AES. The Schedule B can be found here.
