District Manager, LCB & CCS
An experienced transportation professional, Erica Hengemuhle has been a key management figure whose leadership has brought success to several of Deringer‘s customer service centers. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Erica is Deringer’s District Manager with oversight of Vermont’s operations. She serves on Deringer’s leadership team, providing insight and helping to guide the company’s strategic direction.
Erica began her career with Deringer in 1993. Shortly after joining the company, she participated in its intensive management training program for two years and concurrently obtained her US Customs Brokerage License. Erica has managed customer service centers in Port Huron, Michigan; Derby Line and Highgate Springs, Vermont. Management of these facilities included leading teams of up to 20 people and responsibility for the daily operations and profitability of all lines of business including Customs brokerage, transportation, and warehousing and distribution. More recently, under her leadership, Deringer was able to research and develop new procedures to ensure the accuracy of Deringer’s invoices.
In addition to holding a US Customs Brokerage License, Erica is also a Certified Customs Specialist. She also serves on the Board of Directors for I.E. Canada, whose mission is to support the Canadian trade community. As part of her professional development, Erica continues her education at Champlain College based in Burlington, Vermont.
