In the fiscal year 2019, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will adjust Customs user fees and limitations for inflation. In accordance with the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act), the minimum merchandise processing fee (MPF) will increase to $26.22 from $25.67 and the maximum will be raised to $508.70 from $497.99; the ad valorem MPF rate will remain unchanged. The increase will be effective October 1, 2018, which is the first day of CBP’s fiscal year. Additional affected fees include vessel, truck, and rail arrival fees; Customs broker permit user fees, and others.
