A.N. Deringer, Inc. Senior Leaders Honored for Their Contributions to the Global Trade Industry
Saint Albans, VT – A.N. Deringer is happy to share the appointment of three of our esteemed employees to supplemental positions on various industry committees. These appointments reflect their dedication, expertise, and leadership within their respective fields.
Sandra (Sandy) Langford-Coty
New Position: Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee Member
Saint Albans, VT – A.N. Deringer, Inc. is pleased to share the appointment of Sandra (Sandy) Langford-Coty, Director of Operational Development, to the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC). COAC is a federal advisory body that provides recommendations to the Secretaries of the Treasury and Homeland Security on the commercial activities of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and related functions.
Sandy has been with Deringer for over eight years, overseeing our corporate audit program and serving as a liaison between systems and operations in implementation of new regulations and process improvements. Based in Los Angeles, she is a Licensed Customs Broker and a Certified Customs Specialist, holding a bachelor’s degree in resource economics from the University of Massachusetts.
In May 2024, Sandy was honored with the Marjorie M. Shostak Distinguished Service Award by the Foreign Trade Association during World Trade Week. Sandy is Chair of the Customs Committee for the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA). Additionally, she serves the Pacific Coast Council of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association in her role as President. She is active within US Customs and Border Protection’s Trade Support Network and Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC) working groups, as well as the Past President of the Los Angeles Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association (LACBFFA). She holds much expertise within Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and Partner Government Agencies (PGA).
Ania Wierzbowska-Fuller
New Position: Coalition New England Companies for Trade (CONECT) Board of Directors
Ania Wierzbowska-Fuller holds an MBA from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and became a Licensed U.S. Customs Broker in 2015. Ania leads Deringer’s Trade Compliance Services, which encompasses three distinct business teams: the Trade Advisory Group (TAG), the Compliance Department, and the Regulatory Affairs Team.
The Coalition of New England Companies for Trade (CONECT) is a non-profit, member-based business association founded in 1991. CONECT’s mission is to educate the New England and Northeast region’s business community, as well as local, state, and federal government representatives, about the benefits and importance of free and fair trade. The association provides educational and networking opportunities to keep its members informed and acts as a unified voice to enhance the trade and transportation infrastructure essential to the region’s businesses.
With over 20 years of leadership and client relationship management experience across various industries, Ania uses her expertise to help clients develop comprehensive and effective compliance programs that adapt to the fast-paced changes in today’s international trade environment.
Maria Bermejo-Sanchez
New Position: Los Angeles Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association (LACBFFA) Vice President
Maria is a highly experienced Licensed Customs Broker with over 24 years in the industry. She joined A.N. Deringer, Inc. In her current position as the Branch Manager of the Los Angeles operation, where she oversees daily operations and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements.
The Los Angeles Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association (LACBFFA) is the leading organization in Southern California for international trade. It represents the collective business interests of customs brokers and freight forwarders, facilitating their professional interactions with government entities, carriers, and industry peers. Founded in 1949, the LACBFFA advocates for the customs brokerage, freight forwarding, and NVOCC sectors throughout Southern California.
In addition to her role at Deringer, Maria chairs the LAX Airport Committee, where she contributes to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of customs operations at one of the busiest airports globally.
These appointments reflect our commitment to fostering leadership and expertise within our organization.
