A State of Emergency was declared yesterday for parts of Western New York due to a heavy lake-effect snowstorm that began on Wednesday and is expected to last through Sunday. As a result, there are several road closures to commercial truck traffic, travel bans, and canceled pickups and deliveries for small parcels and LTL carriers.
Due to a travel ban in Cheektowaga and all towns surrounding Deringer’s Buffalo Customer Service Center, Deringer’s Buffalo warehouse will be closed today, and all personnel will work remotely until travel bans are lifted and road conditions are safe for travel.
For many years, Deringer has invested in and built an emergency infrastructure with a workforce capable of working remotely. Our Buffalo brokerage team members are prepared to process entries and support operations throughout the storm. In the event of power outages, additional Customer Service centers are available to support Buffalo’s customers and minimize disruptions in business.
Deringer will continue to monitor the storm and provide updates as necessary.
