OnFebruary 28, 2016, the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) will becomethe sole electronic vehicle for filing Customs entries in the United States. Our panel will describe the status of the implementation of the new system,problems companies are having in implementing the system, and changes that canbe expected before the system can be implemented. Each panelist isa Customs or industry expert with up to date knowledge that can provide the”lay of the land” for anyone filing entries in the U.S.program.
EveryCustoms broker and importer also needs to understand the Customs Centers ofExcellence and Expertise (CEEs), a system created by Customs to ensure intraport consistency, facilitate processing of entries and resolve post entryconflicts. The Customs and industry experts on our panel areworking with CEEs and can explain how they interface with other CBP personnel,and how they can be used to your advantage.
