Montreal Gateway Terminals (MGT) recently provided notice of extended truck gate operating hours. The new hours come with an associated fee of $35 per full inbound or outbound container. Shippers should anticipate that the fees will be passed along in new trucking rates.

The fee will help support the operational needs relating to the extended trucking hours of 6AM to 11PM Monday through Friday. MGT hopes to increase operational efficiencies and the fluidity of goods through the port with the extended hours. The hours and associated fee went into effect on September 17, 2018.
