According to CSMS #50752966, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) deployed Phase 1 of the ACE Secure Data Portal (ACE Portal) modernization on January 22, 2022. The updated platform is expected to provide easier use and better performance. It includes a new login screen and homepage, as well as upgraded account information display and edit features. All other ACE Portal functions will remain in the legacy ACE Portal until future phases are implemented.
ACE users must create new usernames and passwords to link their current accounts and begin using the new login page. The transition to using the new login page must be completed before February 20, 2022, when the legacy login page will be discontinued. Users will still be able to access the legacy Portal through a link in the modernized Portal during the transition, and CBP will maintain and update both sites.
After the successful deployment of Phase 1, there will be additional enhancements to the modernized ACE Portal. The project is expected to be completed in January 2023. Additional features include the following:
- The complete set of links to other applications, available in the References section
- Account creation functionality
- Create/edit functionality for supporting account data
- Document management features
- User management/access tools
