The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, also known as APHIS, recently shared a draft list of products which will be included in the anticipated Phase VII of the implementation of the Lacey Act. While this is a draft, it is the intention of APHIS to include all remaining plant products which are not 100% composite material. Once finalized, the list will be published in the Federal Register and reporting requirements will become mandatory after six months. A.N. Deringer, Inc. recommends all importers to review the list to identify any of their products which may be included on the final list. Please forward any questions to compliance@anderinger.com.
