Severe weather and vessel congestion in Asia have caused delays for ocean shipments en route from Asia to North America. The delays may cause vessel bunching at some ports.
Some ocean carriers are slowing vessels to avoid delays at ports of discharge. Zim announced plans to slow their vessels, which will adjust arrival times into Vancouver by more than five days for four of their vessels. Similar actions by other ocean carriers can be expected.
