ST. ALBANS, VT – Leading logistics service provider, A.N. Deringer, Inc., has again expanded its less than container load (LCL) consolidation service offering. The latest LCL consol service provides ocean carriage from Hong Kong to Toronto, which is an ideal routing for distribution points throughout Ontario, New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New England. With a 23 day transit time from port to port, this consol routes through Vancouver providing cost and time savings as compared to other points of entry on the West Coast.
Matt Parrott, Deringer’s Director of Transportation, commented, “This consol, like our other LCL services through Canada, provides significant cost savings to customers—by avoiding ISF and HMF required for freight destined to US ports, as well as direct carriage cost savings.”
Deringer continues to grow its freight forwarding business with another year-over-year growth of 25 percent. Matt continued, “LCL and consolidations make up 50 percent of our ocean transportation revenue. However, customers utilizing these services quickly realize the benefits of flexibility, cost savings, and streamlined coordination and move their FCL business with Deringer too.”
Some of the other LCL consolidations offered by Deringer include carriage from Shanghai to LA, New York, and Toronto; Ningbo to Toronto, and Kaohsiung to Chicago. Additional services are often added in response to growing customer demand.
