Effective immediately until January 31, 2025, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has introduced new security regulations for cargo destined to or transiting through the United States. Cargo from listed countries must come from shippers with an established business relationship with a Regulated Agent or Air Canada, or be from a Known Consignor. An established business relationship is defined as having an active account since September 2, 2024, with documented physical and billing addresses, and a payment or credit history.
Required Statements for U.S.-Bound Cargo:
MAWB or OSI line: “All shipments in this shipment have originated from shippers with an established business relationship with ‘Regulated Agent’ per TSA EA 1546-24-02A.”
Interline transfers: “All shipments in this transfer have originated from shippers with an established business relationship with ‘Interlining airline’ per TSA EA 1546-24-02A.”
Additional Requirements from Other Airlines:
Turkish Airlines and TAP Air Portugal have also updated their cargo acceptance procedures. These changes include requirements for established business relationships and specific documentation. Please refer to the respective airline guidelines for detailed information.
