Amy Magnus is Deringer’s Director of Customs Affairs and Compliance. Additionally, she oversees Deringer’s Champlain, New York, and Detroit, Michigan, service centers. She is a Licensed Customs Broker, a Certified Customs Specialist, Certified Export Specialist and serves as an ACE Trade Ambassador for US Customs and Border Protection. In addition, Magnus is actively involved with various trade associations and serves as an officer for the National Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association (NCBFAA). She is also a member of the Customs Committee for both NCBFAA and the Northern Border Brokers Association as well as a former President of the Northern Border Brokers Association. Prior to becoming a Licensed Customs Broker, Magnus worked for US Customs for over 18 years.
Susan Kohn Ross, Esq. is a partner and International Trade Counsel at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp, LLP. Ms. Ross represents companies and entities, in both the administrative and commercial setting, regarding the importation and exportation of goods before US Customs and Border Protection, US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Departments of Justice, Commerce and State, Federal Maritime Commission, US Trade Representative and International Trade Commission, as well as the Court of International Trade and various other federal and state courts and agencies which regulate the flow of goods. She is chair of the International Trade Practice and Co-Chair of the Homeland Security and Regulatory Practice committees and has been involved in numerous professional and civic organizations, most recently including the Industry Leadership Council, American Associations of Exporters and Importers (AAEI). Additionally, she is the Immediate Past Chair, National Security Committee and the Former Vice Chair, Customs Law Committee, American Bar Association, International Law Section.
