Snow, wind, and coastal flooding is anticipated in the Northeast US as a result of Winter Storm Toby. Accumulation of 12 to 16 inches and some ice is expected, impacting logistics operations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. Terminals in New York and New Jersey are advising closure tomorrow, March 21st. Additionally, the Pennsylvania Turnpike has imposed a system-wide truck/trailer ban beginning tonight and through the end of the storm, spanning the east-west mainline from Ohio to New Jersey and the entire Northeastern Extension.
This is the fourth nor’easter in less than three weeks and expected to be the heaviest snowfalls to impact the I-95 corridor. Deringer will continue to monitor the storm and its impact. If you have questions regarding a specific shipment, please contact a Deringer service center.
